UPHOLSTERY, REUPHOLSTERY
This is a traditional upholstery workshop. Using webbing, hessian, horse hair or coir (coconut fibre), tacks and twine.
Learn how to reupholster that worn out looking chair!
Either strip it down to the bare frame, or just recover it.
Small items of furniture are the best to start with, i.e. dining chair, stool something like that.
You will need to bring a small hammer, a chisel with a split end and a wooden mallet.
I can provide materials, which are at an extra cost and have other tools to borrow. Some more of your own tools would be useful as you go on, such as needles. You would need to bring your own top fabric and gimp (braiding).
The workshops are run on a drop in system, £35 for four hours paying for any extra materials you use from me. Join us at any time for a session and come back when time suit you.
Please call me for more details.
Other dates and times could be arranged at my home. Call me.
